Lou’s Legacy

Last week, Lou Vincent announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.  The New Zealand batsman finished with a Test average of 34.15 from his 23 matches.  With a ton against Australia on debut, many tipped Vincent for a long and prosperous Test career.  What transpired was a stop-start career which no one could have predicted, nor wished for.  However, it was Vincent’s transparency and honesty about his personal battles that won him a new group of firm fans and followers which will be his lasting legacy to the game.
