The perils of watching the IPL

Being English, one feels almost nefarious in watching the IPL.  It’s an engaging yet surreal experience but ultimately one that leaves the viewer feeling hollow.  With the combination of terrible studio pundits, cliche-ridden commentators with staggering bias towards Indian cricketers and the creepy camera work, it does not make for comfortable viewing.  So  why can’t I switch off?
